Escargot to Go (Away)

18 April 2011

Overnight drizzle brought out the snails and it was ideal snail-picking weather this morning. Unprompted, my husband traversed the entirety of our corner lot before coffee and before work. Ken estimated two pounds.

Sluggo, regular snail-picking, foraging by skunks and opossums in my perennial border still resulted in this “harvest.” Thankfully, my vegetable garden has been largely spared.
