In My Garden: Planting Snow Peas

October 6, 2016

image

These Golden Sweet Edible Podded Peas are my favorite snow pea. The vines can top the six foot trellis.

The pea flowers are gorgeous and then they turn into snow peas!

Seeds after scarifying (maybe another post) and before soaking and dousing with inoculant. I planted them yesterday and I’m counting the days.

I’ve saved seeds for this snow pea variety for over ten years. By now they’re well adapted to my garden and I replant to largest seeds every year. You can order the organic, non-GMO seeds from Heirloom Seeds.
