Way too early this year...

February 4, 2012

My usual late ‘White Lion’ Daffodils

'February Gold’ Daffodils ablaze in January, apple blossoms mid-winter and Lucy oversees it all under the flowering plum.

The flowering plum, also is too early this year. Shiny burgundy leaves will appear shortly along with a shower of petals raining down on the daffodils and Lucy. Her favorite “perch” is under the plum tree next to the compost bin, teeming with life which keeps her entertained.
