This is my tenth year to grow corn in my coastal garden. For many years I thought my garden was too small and the weather too cool. Then I saw corn growing (and yielding) 30 feet from water’s edge. I knew I could grow corn.

For corn to have nice full ears like these (‘Sugar Pearl’ from last summer) you need good pollination–good corn sex.
